Author Biography

In his illustrated children’s books, Paul Meier writes about the joys of spending life with a dog. His books center on the family pet, from her delightful mischief around the house to her adventures joining the family on their road trip to National Parks and Monuments around the country. The stories are inspired by his real life dog Marty, an SPCA rescue, and the love she gave his family over the years.

Paul is a retired scientist who now devotes his professional time to exploring renewable and nonrenewable energy (see Paulfmeier.com). He grew up in St. Louis and lives in Oklahoma. Besides writing children’s books, his other passions include tennis, windsurfing, SCUBA diving, cycling, backpacking, language studies (Chinese, French, and German), piano, and stained glass.
